We would like to take this opportunity to extend to you and your family a special invitation to visit "The Children's Christmas Tree Forest."
We are located in Henleyfield, Mississippi near "The Crespo's Crazy Critter farm."
We have a good selection of premium trees at a reasonable price on a "Choose and Cut Basis." A hand saw will be provided for you to cut your tree, or we will cut it for you. Our hours are 10 A.M. until dark during the week and 9 A.M. until dark on weekends, beginning the day after Thanksgiving until the 23rd of December.
Customers may choose a flocked tree that is stored in the warehouse. We will flock the tree you pick out of the forest to your specifications.
The Children's Christmas Tree Forest will flock Virginia Pines, Eastern Red Cedars, Carolina Blue Sapphires and Leyland Cypress.
TREES FOUND AT THE FOREST
LEYLAND CYPRESS - This beautiful tree is a cross between Alaskan Cedar and Monterey Cypress. The tree was produced by C.J. Leyland at the Leighton Hall Estate. The tree is a sterile hybrid and must be propagated by taking cuttings from a donor tree. The Leyland Cypress must be kept in water after it is cut for your Christmas tree. Water stand must be checked morning and night. Some are known to drink 1 and 1/2 to 2 gallons of water per day. However, if kept in water it will stay beautiful for several months. We have trees from 6' to16'.
EASTERN RED CEDAR - Prior to Christmas tree farms growing the red cedar, the wild red cedar was a tree of choice for many families from Louisiana and Mississippi. Everyone loves to smell the Eastern Red Cedar.
CAROLINA SAPPHIRE - The Carolina Sapphire is blue in color, the foliage is very dense and has an aroma of lemon and mint. Many people describe the smell as that of an orange.
VIRGINIA PINE - A Virginia Pine was the first tree planted on Christmas tree farms in Louisiana and Mississippi. It is still in high demand, and if kept in water it will last through the Christmas season. It has a pleasing pine smell.

SELECTING YOUR REAL CHRISTMAS TREE
A tree purchased from our tree farm is one of the freshest trees that you can find anywhere. Before visiting 'The Children's Christmas Tree Forest', you should measure the height & width of the room where you will display your tree.
The Virginia Pine is an excellent tree for Grandma's style lights and the larger ornaments. If you have anyone in the family that is allergic to Pine, then consider the Leyland Cypress for your Christmas tree. The Leyland Cypress has very little odor. The Virginia Pine has a very pleasing scent.
VISITING 'THE CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS TREE FOREST'
Many families spend several hours selecting their tree of choice. Wear shoes that will be comfortable. If you expect rain, don't forget the rain coat.
Many families come prepared with warm clothing and a camera to take pictures of their children cutting the last 2 or 3 cuts on the tree.
Customers are allowed to cut their tree, (an excellent bow saw will be provided), or at your request we will cut it for you. If you select a large Leyland we will use a chain saw and cut it for you.
After you cut your tree, tag it and bring it to the outside of the field and our tractor-hauled trailer will pick it up and deliver it to the processing area. At the processing area we shake clean and bale your tree.
When you are ready to put your tree up be sure to cut 1/2" off the butt and place in water immediately.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very enjoyable and safe Holiday Season.
The Tree Forest is children oriented and we take pride in offering a Pumpkin Patch and Hayride for Halloween, and we welcome school tours. ![]()
